We deliver a continuum of health care services covering assisted living, adult day centre and multi-level care for seniors. We also serve outreach programs such as Meals on Wheels and volunteer hospice visitation. In addition, we provide health and wellness workshops, a wellness resource centre for the general public, as well as organize public health fairs in collaboration with health service providers.

The centre is for individuals with diabetes and their families to learn about diabetes management
Each program consists of two classes
Follow-up sessions are offered at the Centre

Topics include in the program are:
Nature and causes of diabetes
Nutrition and meal planning
Exercise and its benefits
Self-monitoring blood glucose and certification
Self management skill

S.U.C.C.E.S.S. HIV & Hepatitis C Intervention Project

S.U.C.C.E.S.S. aims to help the community overcome barriers to the Canada health care system by providing knowledge and connection to a healthy life. S.U.C.C.E.S.S., in collaboration with Progressive Intercultural Community Services (PICS), was funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) to develop a HIV & Hepatitis C Intervention Project targeting immigrants and refugees, in particular ethno-cultural communities such as Chinese, Filipino, Vietnamese, and South Asians, in the Lower Mainland.  Our project is expected to raise awareness and to strengthen the capacity and knowledge of community workers, and the immigrant and refugee communities to prevent infection and improve health outcomes. Our educational workshops provide information on the introduction to the Canada health care system, basic knowledge on HIV & Hep C, risks of transmission, preventive measures and treatment. Come to our workshops and get FREE testing!

- FREE health awareness workshops and testing.

-    Risk Factors
-    Transmission
-    Prevention & Treatment
-    Health Sources

Workshop Locations:

- Refer clients to get tested and/or receive treatment, if needed.

Support individual needs.

Provide clients a linkage to the health system.

Follow Up:
Follow Up with clients who are willing to be connected.
