Family & Youth
Objectives:
- To strengthen and enrich families and individuals who are experiencing challenges through counselling services, support services and family life education
- To advocate for the rights of individuals and families
Services:
- Counselling Services: Provides individual counselling, couple counselling, family counselling, problem gambling…
- Chinese Help Lines : Provides informational and emotional support via Cantonese and Mandarin telephone help lines
- Youth Programs: A multi-model approach to facilitate personal growth
- Multicultural Early Childhood Development / Multicultural Family Resource Centre Programs: Provides services for families with children under 6 years old in the Tri-cities area
- Family Life Education Programs: Provides workshops, courses and cross cultural training to the Chinese community as well as mainstream agencies
Target Population:
- Clients who are primarily of Chinese origin for Counselling Services, Chinese Help Lines and Family Life Education Programs
- Youth Programs serve multicultural youth who are between 13 – 25 years old
- Families with children under 6 years old who reside in the Tri-cities area and are from Korean, Farsi and Chinese communities for Multicultural Early Childhood Development/Family Resource Centre Programs
