We focus on the needs of people who live in them. In collaboration with BC Housing, City of Vancouver and the City of Richmond, we are the operator and service provider at seven locations: Orange Hall in Vancouver, Hillside Gardens in Burnaby, Solheim Place in Vancouver, REMY in Richmond, 188 Keefer in Vancouver, The Village at 80 & 122 Walter Hardwick in Vancouver, and Storeys in Richmond.

S.U.C.C.E.S.S. owns and operates 38 studio and 15 one-bedroom self-contained affordable rental units for low-income seniors at Storeys, located at 8080 Anderson Road in Richmond’s city centre. Tenants in our units must be an eligible applicant as defined in the Housing Agreement with the City of Richmond.  All rental units are eligible for the S.A.F.E.R. (Shelter Aid for Elderly Renter) program under BC Housing.


Storeys exemplifies a unique partnership between all three levels of government and five non-profit housing providers, including S.U.C.C.E.S.S., to create 129 units of supportive and affordable housing units and a social service hub for Richmond’s vulnerable residents. This development is one-of-a-kind in Canada and represents a best practice model for municipalities to develop affordable housing. Households, including lone-parent families, individuals overcoming addiction, seniors previously at-risk of homelessness, and individuals dealing with mental health concerns, now have a safe, secure and affordable place to call home. For many others, Storeys has become a focal point in their community – by providing a space for residents to access immigrant settlement services, employment skills, healthy and affordable meals, social activity, and meaningful connection.


The project has been awarded the Group Constellation Award by the City of Richmond in April 2018, as well as an award for Planning Excellence in Social Planning by the Canadian Institute of Planners.

The Village, completed in 2010, provides below market, affordable and market rental housing. 168 suites comprising of one-bedroom, two-bedroom, three-bedroom and four-bedroom suites located in two mid-rise condominium buildings at 80 Walter Hardwick Avenue and 122 Walter Hardwick Avenue, Vancouver. Both buildings are SAFER-Home certified, with some units specifically designed for individuals in wheelchairs/scooters. Other nearby amenities include parkland, walking plazas, a publicly accessible waterfront and Creekside Community Centre with a non-motorized boating facility (often used for dragon boat racing). The area has child care facilities, a medical clinic, a grocery store (Urban Fare), a drug store (London Drugs), many restaurants and numerous other amenities within 5 minutes’ walk. The Village is also conveniently located on several major transit routes.

The buildings in this area were constructed to meet the standards of environmental sustainability.  80 and 122 Walter Hardwick are LEED certified. (LEED = Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design)

The buildings are pet friendly and all suites are non-smoking.
