3^rd Press Conference for S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Fundraising Gala 2008

Vancouver – Mrs. Linda Wong and Mrs. Betty Funston, Co-Chairs of S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Fundraising Gala officially introduced the performing cast to the media.  

This year’s superior cast is comprised of popular artists from Asia: Eric Tsang, Louis Yuen, Michael Miu, Siu Wai Mui, Sherming Yiu, Edmond Leung, Theresa Fu, Eric Suen, Fiona Sit, Justin and Hins Cheung, with more stars to surprise the audience during the event.

“S.U.C.C.E.S.S. is extremely excited to have these talented artists here in Vancouver to showcase their very best to our honoured guests and theirs fans,” said Lawrence Woo, Chair of S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Foundation.  

S.U.C.C.E.S.S. projects to have targeted proceeds amounting to $380,000, which will benefit programs and services for groups such as youth, women, seniors, and families.

Immediately after the press conference, media from across Metro Vancouver had the long-awaited opportunities to interview with performing artists.

“2008 is a milestone for S.U.C.C.E.S.S. as it marks the organization’s 35^th year of service to the community. We are proud to say that we have been innovatively integrating new Canadians for 35 years and we look forward to many more years to come,” stated Kenneth Tung, Chair of S.U.C.C.E.S.S.

Approximately 33% of the agency’s $22 million annual operating budget is raised from the community through donations, membership dues, corporate sponsorships and fundraising events organized by S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Foundation.
