Media Advisory Sailors and Songs Naval Centennial Concert in Vancouver
Vancouver, BC – The Naden Band of Maritime Forces Pacific, Canada's Pacific Naval Fleet Band, will perform Sailors and Songs, a musical tribute to the Canadian Naval Centennial at 8:00 p.m., September 20 at the Gateway Theatre, Richmond. Proceeds of the concert will support the S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Foundation and the Chinese Canadian Military Museum.
Directed by navy Lt. Robert Byrne, the Naden Band is a 35-member professional-concert band that is touring Western Canada to bring the Navy to Canadians during the Navy's Centennial Year. The band supports local communities with its active role in fundraising for non-profit organizations, such as S.U.C.C.E.S.S.
