S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Fundraising Gala to Kick Off on Feb. 5

Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA – It’s time for the most highly anticipated premier event of the year! Linda Wong and Winnie Leong, Co-Chairs of the 2010 S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Fundraising Gala, are pleased to announce its annual return on Saturday, April 10 at The Westin Bayshore, an award winning Vancouver hotel with panoramic views of the coastline and historic Stanley Park.  

The annual Gala aims to raise $450,000 to support and enhance S.U.C.C.E.S.S. programs and services that are under-funded and non-funded by the government. The 2010 Gala will begin with an exclusive banquet for around 1,000 guests followed by an intimate concert featuring popular artists in the Asian entertainment arena.

With over 20 locations, S.U.C.C.E.S.S., a multicultural, multi-service agency, proudly serves local communities in Metro Vancouver, Fort St. John and overseas in Taipei, Taiwan and Seoul, Korea.  In 2008-2009, over 173,000 client-services were provided to those in needs in the communities.  The current S.U.C.C.E.S.S. annual operating budget is $36 million, of which approximately 20% rely on income from S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Foundation fundraising events, such as the Fundraising Gala, “Walk with the Dragon,” and Charity Golf Tournament, and S.U.C.C.E.S.S. program revenue.
