Issues and Solutions: Managing Mental Health in the Workplace

RICHMOND, B.C. – On October 27, S.U.C.C.E.S.S. and Canadian Mental Health Association, to follow up on the Mental Health Awareness Week (1st week of October), will jointly host a workshop on mental health management in the workplace. This is to address the mental wellness issues early and effectively – before poor performance affects our bottom line, and before we feel the stress in our personal life.

This 2-hour presentation will provide participants, esp. business owners and managers with:

  1. Practical strategies on how to identify and address mental health issues, including emotional distress and burnout with employees
  2. Engaging multi-media presentation including videos of people who live and work with mental health issues such as depression and anxiety
  3. Useful information and resources for effective performance management when mental health or addiction is a concern

Participants will not only find out why it is difficult to deal with these issues openly, honestly and effectively but also learn to deal with the issues.
