"Employer Collaboration: SUCCESS Continues"

(Vancouver, BC) The collaboration between employers and S.U.C.C.E.S.S. continues. On August 14, 2007, S.U.C.C.E.S.S. organized an Employer Recognition Event: "Employer Collaboration: SUCCESS Continues" for employers to get together to celebrate the successful partnership.

In the event, we were pleased to have more than 40 employers from different industries and leading corporations  such as telecommunication, airline catering service, financial services, supermarket chain stores, educational institution, energy and petroleum resources industry, foods manufacturer, and home improvement retailers. In addition to the greeting speech from the Burnaby North MLA, Mr. Richard Lee, we also had Mr. Danny Strilchuk, Manager (Diversity and Employment Equity Compliance) of Spectra Energy to share his experience with S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Danny thanked S.U.C.C.E.S.S. for the outstanding collaboration in piloting innovative bridging programs for internationally trained immigrants in the energy sector. Spectra Energy was delighted to be able to tap into the new immigrant pool of qualified candidates and fill the skill shortage in the recent challenging labour market.

The Employer Recognition Event provided an excellent opportunity for S.U.C.C.E.S.S. to demonstrate the 5-Step Solution, an effective online tool linking employers to resources that will help company recruit and retain immigrants. The 5-Step Solution is a simple, clear web portal aimed at helping employers find the resources they need to prepare for, recruit and integrate immigrants into their community. It was developed to bridge the gap between employer needs and immigrant job-seekers.

S.U.C.C.E.S.S. strives to enhance employer services and introduces our Cultural Diversity Awareness and HR Support Services with the purpose of helping raise the understanding of how culture impacts an organization, personnel, and clients. This intercultural communication program will include the necessary foundation, framework and tools to become culturally competent and sensitive to other cultures.

The S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Training Institute (STI), the training division of S.U.C.C.E.S.S., will facilitate a customized service in which your management team can gain perspective on cross-cultural understanding. In efforts to better understand your client base and potential culturally diverse employees S.U.C.C.E.S.S. will offer an insight to the concept of culture, and understanding of how cultural issues manifest in the workplace, and an understanding of how cultures can be categorized and assessed.

In addition, our Multi-lingual Translations and Interpretations Department offers cost-effective services in various languages to assist employers in translations and interpretations. We will provide accurate, reliable and prompt translation, typesetting, and editing services in competitive rates with high quality.
