Every baby deserves the basics - nutrition, warmth, clothing and hope for a future

This Valentine Day join us in “Hearts of Angels” by giving hope and a future to our children.
“Hearts of Angels”, designed by one of the participants of A chance to choose

A chance to choose is an employability skills program funded by Service Canada, each intake choose as a community project and this group has chosen to support mothers and children.

A number of the participants of this and other intakes have been helped through the Young Wolves Lodges and the Stepping Stones Programs. That is why the group has chosen to give back to these groups.
Young Wolves Lodges is a 16-week voluntary residential program for young Aboriginal women ages 17-24 who have substance abuse/misuse issues and are trying to work towards positive change in their lives. They also work with women to help them reunite with their children.
Young Wolves Lodges offer individual support, information, and referrals to community resources.  Young Wolves Lodges help to reconnect Aboriginal young women to First Nations ceremonies, traditions and teachings, incorporating a holistic clinical approach to best support their recovery.
Young women gain the life skills needed to work towards successfully living independently or with their family. The chance of success is enhanced through a Transition Worker who fills in service gaps while youth are in attendance. Upon completion of the program the Transition Worker follows youth for one year after completion of their program to help ensure a successful transition.
The Stepping Stones Program helps young mothers with birth and labour support, baby basics after birth, health and medical support, counselling, drop in, crisis care and advocacy when dealing with government agencies and the legal system.
How can you help?

Drop off a donation or items such as baby food, diapers, wipes, baby powder or other items babies and new mothers need.
