FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Vancouver, BC, March 7, 2007 - "Franchise Education & Investment Forum", presented by Gowling Lafleur Henderson LLP, will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2007 at Choi Hall S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Social Service Centre, Vancouver.

"It is our vision to help new immigrants to explore new business opportunities in Canada and become successful entrepreneurs.  This event would be of great help to those who have strong interest in starting their own franchise business and wants to know more about the related issues involved.  We (S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Business and Economic Development) are very pleased to organize this event and would expect great interest among business and investor immigrants." says Tung Chan, CEO of S.U.C.C.E.S.S.

Sponsored by Western Economic Diversification Canada, Canadian Business Franchise Magazine, and Scotiabank, this event is hosted by S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Business and Economic Development and U.S. Commercial Service.

"Canada is a good market for U.S. franchise concepts, particularly British Columbia with its strong economy and growing population. The Commercial Service, located in the US Consulate General has a mandate to facilitate trade and we believe that there is value in attempting to facilitate business ties such as franchising between Asia and North America in this region." says Cheryl Schell, Commercial Specialist of U.S. Commercial Service.

Exhibitors from various business sectors will introduce their products and companies at the Franchise Education & Investment Forum.  Visitors will be able to interact and explore franchise opportunities directly with the delegates of the franchisors.  In addition, there will be seminars presented by lawyers, consultants, and financial advisors on topics such as legal rights of franchisees, general considerations when starting a franchise business, and financial management of the new venture.  Mandarin interpreters will be available to assist participants at the exhibition and seminars as needed.

The event will take place at Choi Hall S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Social Service Centre, 28 West Pender Street, Vancouver on Saturday, March 17, 2007 between 9am to 4pm.  Admission tickets can be purchased in person from S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Business and Economic Development at 200-1755 West Broadway, Vancouver before the event.  Tickets are $15 per person and $10 for Gateway-To-Asia members.  Tickets can also be purchased at the door on the event day.
