Ongoing Financial Support for Mushroom Farm Victim Needed
Vancouver- The Phuoc Thang Tchen Family, as of 1:40 pm on Nov.7, has received cash and in-kind donations of $34,471.98, including $9,000 post-dated cheuqes, $2,000 gift coupons from T & T Supermarket and $1,000 food coupons from Kin’s Farm. To help the family weather the current financial crisis, S.U.C.C.E.S.S. organized a press conference on Nov. 3. The following account at TD Canada Trust has been set up to receive funds for the family for on-going basis: Account Name: S.U.C.C.E.S.S. In Trust of Phuoc Thang Tchen and Family Account No: 44 – 5220622 “We really appreciate the immediate response and generous support from the community. However, the Tchen family is facing grave financial difficulties to sustain basic living. We urge the public to render ongoing support,” said Tung Chan, CEO of S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Phuoc Thang Tchen, a father of three young children, age 3, 8 and 10, has been hospitalized with “no brain activity” since Sept. 5 when the Langley mushroom farm tragedy happened.
