BCEP is a Ministry-funded employment program assisting employable ESL clients living in the Vancouver and the Tri-City areas to look for gainful employment. The program provides employment services and supports designed to meet the needs of individual BC Employment & Assistance Clients by providing more intensive employment services such as: job search guidance, job leads, resume update service, workplace communication training and short-term occupational training. We also provide job placement for suitable clients and financial support for clients to start their employment.

Services Available:

Job Search/Development Services:

• Access to computers with internet, fax machines, photocopiers and telephones
• A resource room for your job search with access to current job postings
• One-on-one sessions, assistance with resumes and cover letters and interview skills
• Assistance with work experience, volunteering and job placement
• Specialized workshops to help you with your personal and employment goals
  Short Term Occupational Training:
• Beginner ESL classes
• Beginner Computer Training (Word, Excel, Internet & Email etc.)
• One-Day Training (First Aid and Food Safe, etc.) 
• Certificate Training (Forklift, Care Aide, Social Support Worker, etc.)
  Support After You Get a Job:
• 60 days of support after obtaining employment
• Access to program supports
• Help with finding another job as requested
