This program provides treatment group sessions plus individual / family counseling for perpetrators of family voilence.
Goals
- To examine values, beliefs and behaviour that generate respectful relationship
- To learn tools and techniques that ends violence in relationships
Services:
- Individual and Family Counselling for perpetrators of family violence
- Resepectful Relationship & Relationship Violence Treatment Group (Eight sessions)
Program:
Eight group sessions, plus 3-4 individual or family counseling
The programs scheduled in 2008:
Jan 12 – Mar 8 : Saturday morning from 10am-12:30pm
Apr 22 – June 17 : Tuesday evening from 5pm-7:30pm
July 26 – September 13 : Saturday morning from 10am-12:30pm
October 21 – December 16 : Tuesday evening from 5pm-7:30pm
The programs scheduled in 2009:
Jan 20 – Mar 10 : Tuesday evening 5pm-7:30pm
Apr 25 – June 20 : Saturday morning 10am-12:30pm
July 28 – September 22 : Tuesday evening 5pm-7:30pm
October 24 – December 12 : Saturday morning 10am-12:30pm
Language : Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
Participants:
Men - mandated or voluntary * Priority will be given to probation clients in Greater Vancouver Region
Cost: Free
Intake & Graduation: Individual intake assessment is necessary, participant receives an attendance certificate
