Holistic Leadership Training Program for Young People

Started in 1998, Youth Leadership Millennium (YLM), a holistic leadership training program with 5 unique focuses, is to help young people develop leadership and life skills and prepare them to be a leader in the future.

1. Personal Development
To train participants on skills such as critical thinking, interpersonal communication and healthy lifestyle, pertaining to whole personal development.

2. Leadership Development
To help participants develop self-confidence, team-building skills and leadership qualities.

3. Adventure Expedition
To assist participants to complete activity requirements to reach the qualifying standards for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Bronze Award.

4. Community Awareness
To increase awareness of Canadian legal system, government system, social and youth issues.

5. Community Initiative
To develop mutual help spirit and volunteerism, and increase community connection.

GRADUATION:
Participants are required to attend all indoor and outdoor activities.

Successful graduates will receive:

• Youth Leadership Millennium (YLM) Certificate
• The Duke of Edinburgh’s Bronze Award
• Toastmasters International Certificate
  
• First Aid Certificate (St. John Ambulance)
