PROGRAM INFORMATION:
S.U.C.C.E.S.S.’s Youth Leadership Millennium (YLM) Program started in 1998; it is a holistic leadership training program with 5 unique focuses to help youth develop leadership and life skills, preparing them to be leaders.

  1. Personal Development
    Trains participants to develop their critical thinking skills and interpersonal communication skills, as well to live a healthy lifestyle
  2. Leadership Development
    Helps participants gain self-confidence and develop their team-building skills and leadership qualities 
  3. Adventure Expedition
    Assists participants to reach the qualifying standards for the activity requirements of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Bronze Award
  4. Community Awareness
    Increases participants' awareness of Canada’s government, legal systems, and social and youth issues
  5. Community Initiative
    Increases participants’ community connection and helps empower youth to get more involved

GRADUATION:
Participants are required to attend all indoor and outdoor activities. Successful graduates will receive:

  • S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Youth Leadership Millennium (YLM) Certificate
  • The Duke of Edinburgh’s Bronze Award
  • Toastmasters International Certificate
  • St. John Ambulance‘s First Aid Certificate
  • David Suzuki Foundation Certificate
