Job Options BC – Burnaby and Coquitlam

Funded in part by the Government of British Columbia, Job Options BC is a 10 week program supporting job seekers in securing entry-level work in various sectors. There are two phases in the program. Phase One focuses on assisting job seekers in identifying career objectives, refining work search skills, enhancing life skills and gaining work-specific skills. Phase Two provides support for obtaining work placement that would last for a minimum of four weeks.

Phase II – 4 to 6 Weeks of Work Experience

WORK EXPERIENCE

Develop hands-on experience through work placement (4 weeks or longer)
Wage subsidy funding for 4 weeks
Coaching and support from the program

WE WELCOME
Job seekers who are:

  • Unemployed
  • Not-self employed, nor working part-time or full-time
  • A non-EI client
  • Not currently receiving employment insurance (EI)
  • Not started a regular EI claim in the past 3 years, nor a parental/maternity claim in the past 5 years
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Not students
  • BC resident and legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Willing to commit to 10 weeks of full-time job search training
