Mission Statement
C.A.N.N. strives to facilitate the pre-settlement of all immigrants arriving in Canada at the Vancouver International Airport by offering individualized reception, orientation, information and referrals.

Program and Services

RAP (Resettlement Assistance Program)

Background
This program is funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada. Services are provided by S.U.C.C.E.S.S., a non-profit, social services organization which is dedicated to helping new Canadians through a variety of programs and services.

 

C.A.N.N. started this reception and information service for new immigrants in 1992. In 1997, C.A.N.N. also began offering services to government-assisted and private-sponsored refugees.

 

Airport Program Staff 
A multi-lingual team of professional staff is available to meet the needs of new immigrants and refugees. They are trained to give any necessary information to help alleviate the stress experienced by newcomers in their initial stages of settlement to Canada.

The C.A.N.N. team currently speaks over twenty languages. These languages include: English, French, Cantonese, Mandarin, Taiwanese, Hakka, Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, Burmese, Karen, Korean, Vietnamese, Farsi, Arabic, Thai, Shanghainese, Dari,Tajiki, Pashto, Nepali, Japanese and Russian.

Location and Hours 
The C.A.N.N. kiosk is located in the Immigration Landing room of the International Arrivals area in the Vancouver International Airport.  C.A.N.N. is open from 8:00am to 8:00pm seven days a week, except statutory holidays.
