C.A.N.N. facilitates the pre-settlement and integration of all new immigrants arriving in Canada through the Vancouver International Airport by providing each family with individualized reception, orientation, information, and referrals. Our services are provided by a multilingual team of staff who are sensitive to the needs of new immigrants and refugees. The C.A.N.N. kiosk is located in the immigration landing room of the international arrivals area at the Vancouver International Airport. We are open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm seven days a week, except statutory holidays.

Services for Newcomers

C.A.N.N. provides a one-time service to new immigrants as they arrive at the Vancouver International Airport. Our goal is to have immigrants leave us with a better understanding about the first steps to take to settle in Canada. We help lessen the time taken and the stress experienced in their initial stages of settlement by providing them with information and referring them to other organizations throughout Canada which help newcomers.

Our services include:

  • Welcome reception
  • Orientation to landing procedures
  • Written information and orientation on settlement in Canada, including SIN, medical insurance, education for adults and children, employment, accreditation, business, housing and more.
  • Referrals to organizations assisting newcomers in settlement and integration

Services for Government-Assisted and Privately-Sponsored Refugees

C.A.N.N. also provides services to all government-assisted and privately-sponsored refugees arriving at the Vancouver International Airport. Our operating hours are often extended to provide assistance to these clients.

Our services include:

  • Welcome reception
  • Information and assistance in landing process
  • Settlement information and referrals
  • Special services where required
