Provides employment related settlement services and information to job seekers and employers. As an employment resource centre, supports job searchers through information, resources, and access to computers, phones, and fax machines. Government funded programs include: needs determination and case management counselling and job mentoring program. Services are provided in English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Punjabi and Hindi.

CAP2:
Community Assistance Program is a pre-employment program funded by the Ministry of Housing & Social Development.  Our target clients are recipients of B.C. Employment & Assistance benefit who are residing in the Downtown Eastside.  The objectives of the program are to increase the quality of life of our clients and to connect them to society so that they may be able to get a job when they are ready.  Our counsellors are very committed and caring and they will develop an individualized Person Plan with each participant to meet his/her own unique needs.  The clients can choose different lifeskills workshops to attend.  There are also counselling sessions with the counsellors who will refer them to different community agencies for further services if needed.  If you are interested in this program, please discuss it with your EAW for referral.

BCEP:
BCEP is a comprehensive employment program assisting employable ESL BCEA clients living in the Vancouver and TriCity area by helping clients look for gainful employment. A big portion of our clients speak Vietnamese and Dari/Farsi. We also serve clients who speak Mandarin, Cantonese, Spanish, Russian, Hungarian, Arabic and Korean. This program provides job search guidance, job leads, resume update service, workplace communication training and short-term occupational training such as Computerized Accounting, Hairdressing Refresher Course, and Operator Certificate and Workplace Safety Training Program. In addition, we provide suitable job placement for clients and financial support for clients who have been able to find employment.
